Metastatic Breast Cancer is breast cancer that has spread beyond the breast nearby lymph nodes to other parts of the body (most often the bones, lungs, liver or brain).

Dealing with Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) presents many challenges; for the person diagnosed, their caregivers and the medical team.

In Nigeria, about 50% of women who develop breast cancer present with advanced (metastatic) disease at diagnosis.

Despite being so common in Nigeria, not much is known about this stage of breast cancer.
